Achievements

District Employment and Manpower Office, Chapainawabganj is working to provide assistance in foreign employment, reduce violence of middlemen in immigration management, welfare work of expatriate workers and ensuring harassment free and smart safe immigration. DEMO, Chapainawabganj has been providing compulsory registration, taking fingerprints, issuance of exit permit and smart card and online visa verification services for workers going abroad with the aim of ensuring risk free transparent and safe migration and assisting foreign employment. Apart from this, reducing the violence of the middle class in the management of immigration, informing the people about immigration facilities and distributing public awareness leaflets, displaying posters, festoons, banners and encouraging meetings about safe immigration and sending remittances through legal channels has been widely promoted. As a result, the violence of the middle class has been reduced and the increase in public awareness has indirectly reduced the cost of migration and overall increased the flow of remittances. Registration and fingerprinting of 29,981 expatriate workers were completed from this office in the last 03 years, out of which 20,629 workers went abroad for employment. Besides, in the last 03 years, 123 meritorious children of migrant workers received checks/money of Rs. 24,57,300 in various categories of scholarships and financial assistance to sick expatriate workers, financial grants to the families of deceased workers abroad, compensation and other payments, 3 out of 117 heirs. ,44,10,000 Check disbursement/encashment assistance provided.
